How can I know if my income tax will be garnished?
I am disabled and have not filed an income tax since 2005. I recently purchased a house and qualify for a first time homeowners credit of $1000.00. How do I know if anyone (ie. Creditors) will garnish my income tax return? Is there a way I can be assured of my return?

    Hello r:

Even if you have judgments outstanding, only the government can seize your tax credit. It could be seized for back child support payments, or overdue student loans.. But, the credit card companies can't touch it.

How did you buy a home with bad credit and even judgements where they can garnish you money ?

Also what about the fear of the IRS for not reporting.

But you need to first file for all your past returns anyway.

But of course if they do, they do
