I am looking for my husbands daughter that he had with a girl he was dating back in 1976, she later married and her husband adopted the daughter. I have the mothers maiden name and the daughters birth name and date of her birth, is their anyway of finding her? We have a daughter and she would like to meet her sister. Thank you for your help

Reunion websites and private investigators could find her.

However--it really should be your husband searching. Some reunion websites allow other family members to search. Some limit it ONLY to the adoptee and birthparents.

If you husband knows of any mutual friends or can locate her family, that may help as well.

Please remember that your husband's other daughter may not know she is adopted, and this could cause a huge shock to her. Better to try to locate her mother first so that you are not disrupting other peoples' lives.
