Payment of judgement through IRS & State income tax refunds?
I have a recorded judgement against me from my ex-landlord. I have no bank accounts & just lost me job the 1st of October. Can she have the amount of the judgement taken out of my federal or state incomee tax refund? I will be getting a refund from both. Will IRS & State of AZ notify first?

Yes, he CAN get the judgement from the IRS if he gets the judgement acknowledged through a federal court judge.

A similar procedure in the Arizona state court system would apply for the Arizona refund.

However, if you filed the returns in the last week or so, time is his enemy, as both the IRS and Arizona will process the returns the issue the refund in aout 2 - 6 weeks.
