    GE motor
I have a GE motor that I believe is from an old washer. It has 5 wires. Black to white is 0 ohms, red to white or red to black is 3.9 ohms, yellow to blue is 2.0 ohms. There appears to be "no" centrifugal switch, so I don't think it's a capacitor start but with all the wires I think it might be a capacitor run. Can someone tell how to wire it, so I can use it to drive another piece of equipment? The GE model no. is 5KH42DT 19S, 1/3 HP, 1725 rpm.
    Thanks
    Gary

While I don't know the configuration for your motor, here is a good link on various motor types in general. Leeson Single Phase Electric Motor characteristics and applications

    Good Luck
