They used to own 50 plus newspapers in the US and more in Canada - they are a Canadien Co. The did own the Toronto Star - They are now Thomson financial - they got out of the np business right on time - mid 90s

They are now Tomson Reuters and if you Google that name, the websites are multiple. Yes, they were a Canadian company but run out of Connecticut. You are going back quite a ways there, when they owned Toronto Star.
