What is the best way of installing a water hookup for an RV?
Hi - I want to install a water hookup for an RV. I have pvc pipe run from the water supply 30 inches under ground, but wondering what is the best apparatus to use for the above ground connection. Was originally considering a frost-free lawn hydrant but am beginning to realize that these really aren't considered OK for potable water due to back flow issues. Now I'm thinking an elbow from the pvc water supply pipe underground, connnected to a galvanized riser pipe, connected to a hose bib, connected to a hose connection vacuum breaker, with the ability to drain the line in the winter (though I plan on having this hooked up and insulated well in the winter).
Any thoughts on the best approach for this? Am I on the right track?
Thanks.
