    Bentonite and cement catch-basin cracks
    Hello There,
I am wondering if Bentonite will plug the leak(s) in our cement/rock water catch-basin? The Basin is approx. 7'longx4'widex4'deep. It is at the bottome of a 15' trickling waterfall. I can not stop water from entering the basin, but can keep the water from building up in it by pulling the drain plug. So the concrete is always damp. The previous owners tried as best they could to use existing rock and cement to create this catch-basin. It is the reservior for our hydro electric pipeline. I believe I am losing about 15-20% of the water coming into the catch-basin. It is very hard to tell exactly where the cracks are. Is there a produce out there that I could add to the water and then it would find its own way to the cracks and plug them up. How about some brush-on rubbery sealer that might work (in a wet enviroment). Any help or suggestion would be greatly appreicated. Thanks, Greg
