If you are being asked to contribute money to anyone from Ghana that you have met on line, it is scam and I urge you not to send money. You will never the see the money again, or the person requesting it.

Most likely, since all scam artists mix some names and real items in their scams.

But if it involves more than a few hundred dollars for passport and visa it is a fraud, ( but most likely a fraud anyway, unless you were actually in Ghana and meet someone, or this is a family member of someone you know from the US

You are being cheated, Ghana is the main site of dating fraud.

So such thing... get passport and apply for visa... that's all.
