My wife moved out of the house a week ago to live with a friend from her country Africa. My wife and I have been married for about 17 months. We meet at a family member's home in Ga. She arrived from Africa in Jan,2009 as a conditional perment residence, and I am an American Citizen. We dated for 2 months before we got married. I notice a problem after we got married she has a negative attitude about African Americans, I am aways saying God created everyone equal, therefore u no better than I. She doesn't work, however sometime she braid hair and lies about the money she earns to avoid paying bills, She says she has obiligation in Africa therefore her money she earns has to be sent to Africa. I have given her money to sent to Africa to help family but know I have bills I have to pay along with save for the future. Now she is 4 months pregnant and have decidedto move out the house because she does not like the state we live in, and she said she doesn't love me. She has said to me and my mother that she doesn't wait the baby to be apart of my side of the family. She is senting the baby to Africa to be raised by her mother. She is callng only to ask for money. I need advise. I do not hve enough money now to hire a lawyer. I want to be a father and take care of my responsibility. Please help.

You had better do something, and right away. Beg, borrow or [but don't steal] it. Because if she takes the baby to Africa you will never see it again.

She will probably need a passport for the baby to take it out of the country. Contact the State Department to see how that works.

Most family-law courts have do-it-yourself forms. What state and county are you in, Georgia? If so, look here.

Sorry, I overlooked it when you said that the baby hasn't been born yet. Unfortunately, in most places, a father doesn't have much in the way of rights with respect to an unborn child. Obviously, a passport isn't required for the child until the child is born.
