I want a giant anteater,but I need to see if it`s legal

You'll have to check the ordinances (rules) for where you live. It is considered an exotic animal, so I'm guessing no, you cannot own one. (What do your parents say? Anteaters cost about $1,400 to about $5,000 and need a special vet who knows all about anteaters.)

If you could have one -- what would you feed it? Where would you keep it? It would be wild and could bite/scratch you and other people. You won't be able to play with it or cuddle up to it.

You will have to have the correct permits but unless you are rich they will not be a "pet"
