Im 25 and have always had an issue with confidence when it comes to sex. I always try and avoid eye contact but when this does happen I get really embarrassed. Why is this? I want to feel more confident!

You dislike eye contact during sex because you don't want to display your feelings, or you don't want to know the feelings of the one you are having sex with. Eyes are the mirror of the soul.

when your talking to a good friend about a problem,can you look them in the eye?

sure you can,cause you trust them.

sex is so intimate,or at least it should be. Your sharing your body,and when your in love your heart and soul. Its an expression of how you feel.

when your with the right guy as excon pointed out,you won't have a problem,because you will trust him and he will trust you, and that's when it gets really good!

Then why are you having sex with him? Why are you in a relationship with him?

Not making eye contact is a way of distancing yourself from the act and the person. Embarrassment when you do make eye contact is sign that you are not comfortable with what you are doing and who you are doing it with.

To be honest I really don't know. Ive been thinking of ending it, The relationship isn't really going anywhere.
