I have Rust coming from all my water lines in my house.
It is staining everything from the toilet tanks to the counter tops.
We have tried everything to clean it with, but nothing works.
I have noticed that I have galvanized nipples coming out of the walls where the shutoff connect to. I have copper pipes in the attic. Is this my problem?
The house is about 20 years old and these might be original, unsure.
First off, why would someone put in copper pipes and then put a galvanized nipple on the end.
How hard would it be to change out these galvanized nipples throughout the house?
Is it something I can do without sweating new pipes?
Is there some easier way without breaking into the drywall?
Is there something else I can use besides galvanized nipples?
Thanks.
