When i turn my set on there is a triple picture in all three of the colors. If you tap on the side it straightens up. There are days that it plays for hours without a problem. Then there are the days you have to tap on the side every 15 minutes. If there is an increase in the volume it will effect it. How can this be fixed? Will it cost more than the set is worth?

It will likely cost more to fix it than it is worth. You could try playing around with convergence settings in the menu, but since it is not consistently that way, it is not likely to fix the issue.
