Stupid question, but, what does arthritis pain feel like?
I fell back in May of this year, broke 2 fingers. Middle finger and ring finger. Have been seeing a hand/arm specialist since July. Sent me to phys. Therapy for 12 sessions to strengthen the hand. After 6 sessions went back to the doctor. He said they weren't being aggresssive enough. So the next 6 they tortured me! Therapy's over and I still can't bend my fingers all the way or make a fist. They put me on different meds and pain patches and anti-inflammatory's, so far nothing has worked. The fracture's have healed beautifully, but the fingers hurt more then when they were fractured and now the pinky finger hurts tremendously too. So this last doctor visit a few days ago, he said that I have osteo arthritis in that hand. The therapy kind of brought it to a head. So I'm wondering if anyone with arthritis can tell me what their pain feels like. My pain is constant and hurts like hell to bend those fingers at the joints. At night it hurts really bad if I wake up and bend the fingers. It feels like there's a vice on them squeezing them tighter and tighter if I make a fist.
Anyone care to enlighten me on arthritis pain?
