I divorced on October 1995, but I was granted 401k from my ex husband, but since then I don't know where that money is, my ex husband said to me to forget about it, that problably I don't have any. I don't know where to get information, can you please help me.

The assets that were included in the divorce settlement should have been fully disclosed back in 1995. If at that point he had a 401(k) plan that was due you, the transfer to your name would have occurred then. There should have been a court order called a "Qualified Domestic Realtions Order" (QDRO) that was sent to the 401(k) plan administrator, and they would follow that order to establish an account in your name. Are you sure this didn't occur? Or is the problem that you have forgotten who the plan administrator is? Look back through your records of the divorce proceedings - the name of the financial institution should be in there.
