    About rhinitis in pregnancy
I have a really suffy, runny, and congested nose and it will not go away. I don't have allergies but I have tried taken allergy medication and cough medication but it is not working. I just got off my birth controls and after my period ended a few days later I had discharge (sorry tmi) it was very thick not smelly, or itchy so I know I don't have an infection. I had the discharge for a few days then I started to get this stuffy nose. A day after my period I was sexually active with my husband before these symptoms came about and the last time I had a discharge was almost like a year ago. Could this be a sign of pregnancy?

It can happen in pregnancy, but is not usually one of the early signs.

Odds are more likely it is simply a viral infection or an allergy. You can develop allergies at any time.

The discharge may be from coming off the birth control and thicker discharge is normal after a period finishes. You may not have noticed any before, but again it may be a result of ending the birth control as well.

You'll have to wait until you get closer to when your next period is due and test at that time, or better still, wait and see what happens with your period.

Good luck... hope it turns out how you would like it to!
