    Water from faucet smells
The water from my bathroom sink smells like sewer or someone just "used" the bathroom, the water doesn't even have to be running to smell the smell, when you get near it you can smell it,I lived in another apartment in the same building and had the same problem there only at that house you could smell the sewer smell after flushing the toilet as well. Does anyone have any ideas what this could be and how to fix it.thank you.. vanessa

Two things come to mind with your problem. First check to see that your trap is operational and always filled with water. When you run water it goes into the drain and can displace sewer gas not trapped. It could also be bacteria inside the lining of the sink if you have an overflow hole in the front or back of the sink basin, do you?
