My future husband is in the states and I am way out here in the middle east, he is an ex con,served his time and now on probation,he wants to come visit and I would like to know if there will be restriction for him in getting a passport to travel out of the states to come visit,since he not travelled out of the united states before.

He can get a passport with no problem. It's his PO that's going to cause a problem. They MIGHT let him travel out of the country, and they MIGHT not.

He should ask his probation officer. I'm sure there are many factors - the nature of his crime, how long the visit, to what country, etc. Does his probation even allow him to leave the country, much less the state?
