How many watts equal a kilowatt
Thinking about installing solar panels on my house. If I can get a better picture of what my home uses, then I would know many panels I would need

    1000 watts equals a kilowatt.

I know enough about sloar panels to be dangerous.

I know they put out a low voltage, either 12 or 24 volts.

You then need a storage system of batteries the panels will charge.

Then an DC to AC inverter is need to change the battery voltage to a useful 120 volts AC.

How much load you have or need powered in the home will determine what size solar panel system you will need.

I suggest that you do a web search for solar panel systems for homes, find a reputable dealer that will help you design your system.
