Why am I not losing any weight
I am 5'3, and currently weight 128 pounds.

I had been trying to get down to 110 for the longest time, four summers ago I finally got to 119 by exercising 2 hr a day and not eating anything after 3PM. But once school starts, I gain all the weight back. Ever since then the thinnest I got was 120.

Now I just started grad school and I have to commute everyday. I don't have much time in the morning so I usually don't bring lunch to school. For the past 3 weeks, I will have a yogurt or apple in the morning, not eating anything until 4 P.M then I will have dinner (not like binging but a reasonable portion, probably 500-600 cal). I also exercise 3-4 time a week, stuffs like clime stair for 30 minutes, run for 30 minutes, or bike. I thought I will at least lose some weight since I cut down a whole meal (300 cal at least) and also exercise. Contrary to my believe, I didn't lose anything. I just don't understand.

Can someone explain to me why is this happening? Thank you so much.

P.S. I know I am not over weight, but I have a very small frame, and I would like to see myself thinner.

If you take in and/or burn off more calories than you ingest you will lose weight - it's that simple. If you are not losing you might be at a plateau. If you stick with it, you will lose weight eventually.

    Keep track of your calories.

Worry and stress do NOT cause you NOT to lose weight - eating more calories than you use is what does cause you to lose weight. How you chose to do that is your choice.

How old are you? Female? Are you on birth control pills? Any other medications? What are your parents like? Are you fairly thick around the waist? Any diabetes in the family? Any serious worry/stress?

One thing to try is to eat your most in the morning including some grain/carbs, middle amount at lunch with protein like an egg, and least at dinner. Burn it during the day, not when sleeping. 'Eat like a king in the morning, prince at lunch, pauper at dinner.' And drink all that water - it's needed to burn calories.

It's not about eating less - it's about eating fewer calories.

If you ARE eating fewer calories, exercising more, still don't lose weight, consult with a Physician. You HAVE to eat and burn off more calories than you use PLUS burn off extra calories in order to lose weight.

Again - if you are, you are not at a plateau, consult with a Physician.
