I Need The Habbit Of Brushing My Teeth.
I Really Hate Going to The Dentist Because She Always Tells me "You NEED to Brush Your Teeth Every Night And Morning" SO There's My Problem it's Not Really Laziness, Because I'm Like Always Outside Or Doing Something Active & I Never Really Want to Brush My Teeth Unless I'm Going On a Date Or Something Like That :/ So How Can I Bring Myself into The Habbit?

Well, I guess you only need to brush and floss the ones you want to keep!

    Hello bijiou,

Do you shower every day, or wash your face when you get up or before you go to sleep?

The reason I ask, is because lets say you do wash your face every morning/night, then you could get into the habit of brushing your teeth after you wash your face.

You need to work at making it a habit.

First, when you wake up in the morning, brush your teeth FIRST THING. Before you get dressed, before you leave the house.

Second, when you undress and get ready to crawl into bed, brush your teeth. This will be the last thing you do, before you go to sleep.

You can try putting a note on your alarm clock, to help remind you. Or put a note near anything you do every morning / evening.

You could always put a toothbrush holder and a spare toothbrush IN your shower. Then, whenever you shower, it is right in your face. You can brush your teeth while you shower!

Or, put your toothbrush next to your deodorant, and brush your teeth every time you use your deodorant!

You probably have habits that your are unaware of, things you do all the time. Try linking brushing your teeth to one of those 'already established' habits.

Brushing in the shower is a good suggestion. You don't even need toothpaste to brush your teeth so no reason why it can't be done.

If you are really serious about improving your habit you should have no problem taking any of the suggestions made.

One thing to remember is that poor oral health is linked to many systemic health problems such as heart attack, stroke, asthma, pneumonia, pre-term delivery of low weight babies and some cancers. Why wouldn't you want to form a habit if brushing twice a day can help you stay healthier??

Dentures are not that bad, and a lot of guys may like it gums only

We'll first you can sit and think about it. Do you want to lose all of your teeth as you get older? Do you want to deal with insurance not covering all of your dental work or even getting diseases and abscesses?
Try getting into the habit of both brushing and flossing and stopping your teeth and gums from becoming unhealthy. Think of not brushing your teeth as not washing your hands after using the bathroom!
