I have been prescribed them to take for sleeping at night. I take at 9pm after breastfeeding and don't feed again till 8am

At that small dose, as well as being only once a day, any trace amounts found in breastmilk would not be harmful.

As with any medicine, it is wise to take it only as long as you need to.
