Why my Generator is giving continuous trouble though it is newly bought?
My generator is bought only for 2 months. But somehow it is giving continuous trouble like last night its self starter motor caught on fire, AVR is damaged, self starter motor is damaged. My supplier is complaining the ATS is not okay. It's not functioning properly. So I am confused. Please someone help me to know if the problems I mentioned can happen due to ATS problem.

The first interaction between an ATS and a generator is the starting circuit. Once an ATS has no utility power, there is a set of control contacts that close sending a signal to the generator to start.

Once the ATS senses the generator power, the ATS contactor will change position from utility input contacts to the generator input contacts.

Normally there is a battery at the generator to power the starter motor, which provides the power to the ATS starter control , and sent back to the starter once those contacts close.

This starting control circuit needs to be looked at to be sure there is not some sort of miswire. Otherwise I cannot think of what else could lead to the ATS being the cause of the generator problem.
