    Vanish Drop Ins
Our landlord keeps telling us that using Vanish Drop Ins to keep the toilet clean is causing problems like leaks and such. Is this possible, or is he just making excuses?

That's the large blue tablet inserted into your tank, correct ? If so, then...

Your landlord is correct. The Blue tablets, inserted into toilet tank cause rubber flopper to deteriorate at faster rate than usual. Also, it makes the flopper too sleek jeopardizing positive seal between the flopper and tank water outlet. As a consequence, small leak into the bowl will occur.

Today, many manufacturers put sticker on the inside of the tank advising you not to use these tablets or they will void the warranty.

Also, pets don't enjoy the taste of the Vanish Drop Ins tablets...

Hope that helps... Back to you... Milo
