I am having a filling replaced with a crown. After the tooth colored temporary fell off the first day, I had a metal temp crown put on. When I left, I saw that it was BRIGHT ORANGE. What is this? Is this normal? Dentist made me feel crazy for wanting a tooth colored crown to begin with.

I have never heard of a metal crown being used as a temporary. Usually they are made of acrylic/resin. I sure hope your permanent crown won't be orange!
