    New Construction
I am Currently building a 2400 sq. ft. home in south Texas with close cell insulation. My contractor said he was putting a 5 ton Carrier unit in and I got a Rheem unit. Is their a lot of difference in Rheem and Carrier A/C units?

The Rheem unit likely has a lower price tag than the Carrier. I would be compelled to ask the contractor to explain the "switch".

I Agree with KC13. Ask how much money you saved by getting Rheemed instead of a Carrier.
