Hi I am 22 year s old female I have irregular intervals between periods some times more than 40 days between two periods and some time the amount is little as it ends in 3 days... what is the cause and what should I do?

Some women naturally have irregular cycles. You can speak to your doctor about ways to possibly help make them more regular.
