    Bubbling toilet and drains
I live in an apartment building on the main floor and my toilet and sinks have begun to bubble anytime water is poured down the drain. Water also backed up into my washing machine. Any advice or useful information? Thanks.

Your bubbles are caused by a clog sending a bubble of sewer gas back up the line when the discharge hits the clog. Are you on city sewer or a septic tank? Is the entire house affected or just one branch?

Are you saying that it backs all then way up the washer stand pipe and overflows? If that's the case then that puts the clog downstream from the washer. Answer my question about the septic tank and we'll go from there.
