Ok, this is complicated, I had sex 4weeks afer giving birth to my son, 4 weeks have passed and my son just turned two months today and I haven't had a period yet. I am a diabetic and my blood sugars have not been in control so Im not sure if my high blood sugars be the reason why I have not had a period or could I be pregnant again.

Are you nursing? If you are it's possible that you won't get a period until the breastfeeding is slowed down, when baby is on solid foods. Even if you're not breastfeeding it takes a while for your body to get back to normal after the birth of a baby.

There's a risk that you could get pregnant even if you're nursing, because only your body knows when it's going to start ovulating again, and you do ovulate before you get your period, so you could go from one pregnancy to the next without ever having a period in between.

I'm surprised that your doctor okayed sex at 4 weeks. If you're concerned that you may be pregnant than take an hpt.

If you want to avoid a back to back pregnancy, talk to your doctor about going on the pill.
