My new wife and I have lost our jobs.. can't afford an attorney.. and are fixing to loose our house to foreclosure.. can they put me in jail?. can they come after my new wife?. I need help ASAP!!

Alimony is different than child support. In most states you can be jailed for willfully failing to pay court-ordered child support. If, on the other hand, you cannot make your alimony payments your ex wife would have to move to have you found in contempt of court and then prove that you were intentionally not paying.

And no. "They" cannot come after your current wife.

What state is this in because some states charge interest too. Also if she is in and out of jail a lot you might try to see about getting it dropped depending on the circumstances.

You will not go to jail, they may be able to garnish your pay when you get back to work, or court may take any money you have in the bank ( but those are maybe)

Where is she sueing you ? Is she merely taking you back to family court ?

If you can't afford to pay spousal support as ordered, go back to Court and get a Court Order for a reduced amount - the longer you do nothing the more the arrearages will pile up.
