I don't typically have a monthly cycle which is a problem in itself.. I am a virgin, I have never taken Birth control and this month my period decided to come. I was all for it, I put in a tampon and an hour later it was barely a light pink... so I used another one and when I took it out it was dry.. I thought hmm I must not have been on... so I slept through the night woke up the next day took a shower and got dressed. I decided to lay down for a second and when I did a rush of blood came so strong that it went through my underwear and jeans and stained my sheet.. I was like omg.. so I got a tampon and when I put it in a huge blood clot came out... then all day today Ive been changing out dry tampon after dry tampon.. im so confused!

What age are you? How long have you been having periods?

It's quite normal for some very light spotting at the beginning of a period, before it gets started with a gush. You might want to consider using a towel as well as a tampon for those times.

I should have included that, I am 22 years old and Ive had a period since I was 13 I think. Its been a while... Im going to make an appt at the gyn soon, I was just hoping someone would have some kindof explanation
