We have found a dog park that is completely fenced in and there is a spot where it goes by the river if they want to swim. It is very large so the dogs get lots of running in.

We took Owen there and the first dog he seen was a 2year old male. We got talking to the owner and stayed with her as we walked around with the dogs. It was almost like this dog was showing Owen proper manners. He did growl at him but it was more like a don't do that growl. I was proud of my boy.

He is learning so much everyday. Hopefully soon I will have the money to enroll him in dog obedience as I am only doing what I think he needs to know. I figure it won't hurt him as it will just make him a better behaved boy.

Just thought I would update as it has been awhile.

My dog loves going to the park. It's great socialization for him. He can get a bit grumpy with other dogs, but he also always sounds nasty when he's playing, snarling and the like. I always have to tell people 'hes not being mean, he just sounds that way when he plays', though most people get a kick out of him doing it to dogs three times his size, considering he's 17lbs
