    Firefox can't find server
I have a two PC wireless network. Actually one is a PC and the other a laptop. I used the PC to set it up. For the most part it has worked fine. Now the PC which is XP and Firefox gives a message: Firefox can't find server. The icon on the right bottom says I am connected. I am using the laptop to write this so it's okay. I ran a ipconfig/all on the PC, but I really don't know what to look for on it. I have used Firefox before with no problems. I tried it with IE7, and it's the same. I also checked to make sure "work off line" wasn't checked. Any body experience something like this. Thank you.

Does this happen with any site? Have you tried using IE?

    First check your network-connection:
run cmd.exe and type "nslookup google.com". It should result several IPs (numbers like 74.125.43.104)
then type "ping google.com" and wait. Result should be: "Packets sent=4; Packets received=4; Packets lost=0;"
=> If you have different results your network connection is misconfigured. Check in the Wireless-Configuration if you are connected to the correct network, should be writing the same Network-Name like on the Laptop ("Connected to <Networkname>" If not, search for the network and connect to it.
=> If result is successful check your browser-config:
In IE click Extras>Internet-Options go to connections, compare the settings to the ones on your laptop, then click on LAN-Settings and compare them as well! If they are similar it should work. Otherwise it might be your Firewall or Virus scanner, deactivate them for testing.
