You have to go to court in Quebec if the warrant was issued there.

Will the police come to ontario for you ? And will it show on police records in ontario that there is a warrant out for you from Quebec?

Depends on what kind of warrant do you have on you? The one in quebec is it just quebec or Canada wide?

Its pretty serious if there is a warrant out for your arrest, for a crime in Quebec and you live in Ontario. Yes, the Quebec police will come to get you, no doubt about that.

    What are the particulars ?

And please answer under the complete thread and not as 'comments to the post'.

Please don't disagree to a post unless you have posted ALL THE INFORMATION THAT YOU HAVE TO OFFER; your original post didn't give us much opportunity to get to the bottom of your question. Your information above could have been posted when you originally asked the question and there would have not been any doubt as to the answers given.

Having no money to attend a court date is not a valid reason to miss it, according to the police. He gets there under his own steam or he forfeits whatever credibility he had in the first place.

They won't put out 'hoping to catch him anywhere'; they will just contact the police in Ontario, but, be warned, this will turn into a Canadian wide warrant which will not work in his favour.

If his attorney notifies the court and ask for a new date.

But it is possible a few things an happen.
They may keep having court without him and merely find him guility

They will for sure issue a warrant for not appearing.

Yes the warrant will show up anywhere he is, even in the US.

They may not "come after him" but wait till he is caught doing something, or turns his self in, since he will have trouble getting a job with a warrant, will not get a new drivers license and will be a nervous wreck anytime he sees a police car go by

The only real answer is to have your lawyer contact the court with a "reason for non appearence in due time" Validiaion, mind you future action will be "dwelled upon" by the crown. It's a ****ty system with no regard for personal circumstance or just-cause, only a self perpetuating need to fill the jails in order to keep clerks, judges, even stenoghraphers employed. Nothing makes criminals better than our legal system! LOL!

I had the same issue, I had left my ex girlfriend in Montreal and Moved to Toronto, after two months she was convinced that I am not going back anymore she called the police and told them I am threatening her! (BY THE WAY I DID NOT KNOW ABOUT IT EVEN THOUGH SHE WAS STILL CALLING ME 8 MONTHS AFTER THE POLICE ISSUED THE ARREST IN QUEBEC)
After about 10 months from that, unfortunately I did something stupid and that was driving home after having coupl of beer at the office! I got arrested in Toronto! The police came to me and said you have arrest warrant in Montreal! I was arrested that night because of driving drunk and not having my driver license on me!
Bottom line; next day I was taken to the court and the Judge asked me why did I drove without having my Drivers License on me! And that's it , she let me go! Because I never had any issue with police in my life!
When the crown told the Judge about my arrest warrant in Quebec , the Judge said : " THIS IS ONTARIO, ITS NOT UP TO US TO DEAL WITH QUEBEC MATTERS"

So, IF THE ARREST WARRANT IS NOT CANADA-WIDE, POLICE FROM ONTARIO WILL NOT TAKE YOU THERE.. NEVER!

BUT YOU NEED TO DEAL WITH IT IN THE FUTURE IF YOU NEED TO CLEAN YOUR NAME AND TRAVEL OUTSIDE OF CANADA!
