Yeah I hear Red Julia's Gvt is already ready to collapse because the indies want to revist the ridiculous mineral tax. On the other spectrum the Greens want to tax uranium

    Hi Tom,

It may have reached our shores but it will amount to nothing.

In Australia we don't have the polarization of political views you experience. We are still are an egalitarian society. I don't usually put things in categorical terms, but this time I will.

    Regards

Unfortunately, Tom, the Mining Tax neither helps or hinders the viability of the Labor government, it is a "robin hood" measure designed to pump money into superannuation and is therefore long term and their usual social engineering. Who are these indies you speak of? I think a mining super profits tax is a stupid idea, it can easily be avoided by international mining companies by transfer pricing
