How do I cap an electrical wire
I just removed a plug and now the wires are exposed. It's late at night and I only have one cap. Can I put both the black and the white wire in the cap or is that a no no? The breaker is off at the moment so not sure what will happen when I turn it back on.

NO!! Do not put the two wires together! Cap one with the cap you have and tape the other one with any kind of tape you have, or a band aid, or aglob of silicone, or anything (non conductive) to cover the bare wire
