Depends on how big the burn its. Try using lotion or vaseline

    Don't use vasoline
Do not use vasoline I cooked for a number of years you want to use only things that are water based. I have found that something called Mr. Blister is great it burns like hell if the burn is very bad but it is great. How bad is the burn 1st 2nd or 3rd degree will determine if it will scar or not. I have found (and this is kind of sick for some poeple) that if you spit on it the pain goes away faster when you first burn yourself. Also if it is too bad you should go to the doctor to get it looked at. If you go to the doctor they will scrub at it to get the dead skin out of it so if you go prepare yourself.

Depending on how bad the burn was 1st or 2nd degree-applying ice directly would have stopped it from blistering and scarring. I burned my whole hand years ago and kept it in cold water until I got home then went to sleep w/my hand in a bowl filled to the top w/ice and a little water. In 3 days my hand was back to normal-not one blister.

One of the things I have found that works good and it may sound silly is cut the leaf of a Aloe Vera plant open and rubb it on the burn it will help with the healing and helps with the pain. You can buy the Gel in a tube at most Drug Stores
