How do I get my dog to stop pulling his leash
My dog pulls on her leash and my mom said that if she doesn't stop that she will put her in the pound

Buy a gentle leader and take her to obedience classes.

Your mother wants to put your dog in the pound simply because she pulls on the leash?

What are you doing to correct this behavior? What is her exercise routine like? It's VERY common for dogs to pull on their leashes when they walk, especially if they haven't been trained properly to walk. It's their instinct to pull.

A Gentle Leader is the easiest way to correct that behavior.

Mom needs to learn that dogs are a lot of work and responsibility, and you don't just put a dog in the pound because of a small problem like this, that can be easily corrected.

If mom is this fickle, mom should stop buying animals that require any sort of work. Perhaps it's time for mom to get some sea monkey's, because they need very little care, and don't live long.
