    University Selection for MS?
    I am Rakesh,

    My gre score is
    Quant-790
    Verbal-570
    Awa-2.5

    My academics is good. I am stydying BE computer science in a college affliated to anna university
    My percentile till 6th sem is 87.22
    Am 4th in my dept
    Have a few extra curricular activities, my final year project and have done implant training
    But no publications and work experience. I can manage recommendation letters only from my college professors.
    I am planning to do MS-SOFTWARE ENGINEERING and am looking for a decent and above average college which is financially light and can provide some assistantships

    Could you please suggest some colleges( risky and safe) and how should I apply??

    You should contemplate good State Universities. They have reasonable fee structures and have decent fundings too. I don't know if you have a preference for any state but NY, TX and PA are good choices

    Each state has State universities like NY has I guess 4 of them, SUNY - Stony Brook, Buffalo, Binghamton and Albany. Similarly other states have State universities too. Just look for "State" in the name of the university, these universities have decent fundings and low fees.
