I have been with IT industry for past 5 years and it is really tiring to stick on with the same... I am all set to start any business preferably low investment. But not sure on what to start... when I googled it, I was able to get many ideas but many are not applicable in INDIA...

So, right now, I am looking for some ideas of new business with minimum investment apart from freelancing related things... If it is for a part time, then it will be great!!

ALL businesses require some form of investment.

For a first generation entrepreneur it is important to understand that before quitting your job you need to take care of two important aspects. Firstly, money to support your living costs till the business generates cash and secondly investment for the business.

Before you quit your job make sure that there is enough cushion to provide for your financial liabiliites (rent, living expenses etc). If you are the only bread winner for your family make sure that you have put away money for that as well. It is very difficult to estimate how much is required to be tucked away before one starts. The usual answer is it depends on how much time it will take for your business to start generating cash profits.

Look for business opportuniites where the investment is largely your experience and insight and not too much cash. Services usually are not capex intensive.
