I am confused about the peeling process.

I am buying lactic acid and also buying a PH neutralizer to balance things out. Do I dab on the neutralizer before or after the peel? I've read about both methods and watched videos with people treating the clean skin with neutralizer before they start the peels.

Also can I mix a lightening cream with the lactic acid. I want to apply my lightening cream after I wash off the peel to help it penetrate! I know some use Retin A along with HQ so can I use Lactic acid along with alpha arbutin/glut cream? Is it possible to use Retin A on top of the lightener?

I am also planning on using 55+ glycerin on the weekends. Is this a bad combo :confused:?

A lactic acid peel is to be left on the skin for a period and then washed off, you cannot mix it into your lightening cream. As far as a neutralizer, lactic acid is one of the lightest of the peels. I think once you rinse it off your peel is done but if you do feel a need for a neutralizer use it after the peel, a natural neutralizer is baking soda and water.

I've applied lightening cream after I washed off a peel but my skin was too sensitive, the lightening ingredients made my skin sting, so I waited the next day instead, after the peel I apply a plain moisturizer.

Using Retin A with a lightener is fine but apply Retin A first then the lightening cream.

I've done that in the past, I've used the F&F Facial Cream with Retin A and the Cream de Laser with Retin A and HQ/Retin A, right now I'm using the Parfait and no Retin A needed, it works awesome without it. I'm so glad I started using Retin A, it's a great product to add to your skin care routine.

Wait's parfait? Any HQ in it? How many shades did you lighten with that? Is that the only product you use? Lol so many questions haha...

Parfait is just another product in the F&F Soho line and there is no HQ in it, there is no HQ in any of the F&F products. It's the only product I'm currently using now, I've lightened with it a great deal, in terms of shades I'd say about
2 1/2 to 3 shades, it's very noticeable, this is one of there stronger facial lighteners because it has lot of exfoliates in it that's why I don't use it with Retin A.

Yeah, that's the one! I never paid attention to the Soho Line until more people started talking about the Parfait and how well it worked so I had to give it a try. Believe me F&F is made for black folk! :p Unlike some products where it seems to only work on Asian skin, those products are so weak for black or darker skin tones like mine was. If you get it you'll like it a lot!
