    Renters rights parking North Carolina?
Can a landlord tell you where you can and can not park if it has never been a question before but now all of a sudden you can not park in a certain part of the yard?

Is there a lease? Why has the landlord made this change?

In general the landlord (if there is no lease) can change the rules upon 30 or 60 days notice. If you don't want to make the change you can move; if you don't make the change, you can be evicted.

Is the new parking spot a large inconvenience for you?

I've had to assign parking spaces to my tenants in the past because, left on their own, they blocked each other's cars, blocked each other's access to the property and so forth.

This sounds to me like there are no marked parking spaces, but rather just a yard, maybe not even a driveway.

So the first question is why the change? Maybe the LL wants to plant in that part of the yard or something.

Whatever, this is not something governed by law, but what is in the lease.

And if it's not covered in the lease, tenant has, when push comes to shove, no right to park on LL's property. So tenant should be happy that LL gives him/her parking privileges at all.
