Brake lights don't work but fuses and bulbs are good
Started with cruise control not working, found out cruise control if brake lights don't work. All the lights work and fuses are good but when the brake pedal is pressed nothing.

Try 4 way flashers, walk around vehicle and take note of bulbs flashing.
Brake switch may be bad, have someone watch brake lights as you press pedal.
Unplug brake switch and insert jumper, see if brake lights are on, if not, see if you have poweer to one side of the switch connector. If not, it is likely a fuse or fusible link. Also involved is your Signal Head.

As a general rule, (maybe I should restrict that to my Fords) if there is a problem in the brake system, the Cruise Control will not work.

A couple of thoughts, if you are getting error lights showing brake problems go to a mechanic and see if they can dump the error log for you.

If it shows brake errors, then if there are no physical problems with the brake system it may mean that you need to make sure that the fluid level is correct or that you need to have the brake system lines flushed and new brake fluid put into the system.
