    I have a 1986 honda accord lxi. 4 cyl. Fuel injected. 5 speed. The pbmfi red light is on when driving. This is located on the dash. Does anyone know what this means and how to fix it?

    Yes. I mean PGM-FI red light.

    . Test all under hood and under dash fuses with a test light or multimeter:

    . Check for codes:

    . Clean main ECM ground, likely located on the thermostat housing.

    . Ensure the CEL comes on and goes off after 2 seconds, when the ignition switch is turned to ON (Position II).

    When you turn the ignition switch to ON (Position II), do you hear the fuel pump run?

    jocorey, it may be something as simple as replacing the PGM-FI Main Relay, which is located along the left kick panel, just above the hood release. However, I would check for any codes first:
