Your bank can't freeze your account without a judgment levied against you. What you state doesn't sound correct. No one can just walk into a bank and have that done.

No one can just walk in and freeze your account. There has to be a judgement against you. Have you asked the bank to see the paper work? Maybe you already had a judgement for something else and that's how the bank "took" your money.

Either you are not giving or getting the true story. No bank can or will freeze an account without a court order.

Assuming you are not in a nation where things are not done according to basic law, no it can not happen like that.

So what you stated can not happen. Your friend can tell them and they will not even be able to tell your friend you have an account at that bank.

If he sues you in court, and gets a judgement against you, he can get the court to issue a garnishment of the bank account, he can then walk into the bank, serve them a court order and it will be frozen
