What is with the rash of 480v commercial/industrial questions lately ?

IMO if you have ask something like this you should not be doing the job.

Who is doing the installation, you or the power company?

Have you checked with the power company to see what they require?

If the 480 volt system has a neutral, such as for a 277/480 volt 3 phase 4 wire system, then the neutral must be installed to the meter, and any panel in the system.
