    Wiring Honeywell TH8320U1008 thermostat
    Hi:

    Happy holidays, all.

Got a TH8320U1008 thermostat for Xmas. Want to install it myself (hopefully, not
A bad idea). Honeywell's tech line says it should be professionally installed, and
Gave me two locals. First I called says nope, they don't mess around w/ heat pumps.
Second was my HVAC provider. They want $150 to do it.

Heat pump is a York Stellar model E4FD036506, with a York tstat.

    Wiring. First, the easy ones:

Wires in York tstat Possibilities in HWell tstat

    G G
    C C
    R R
    L L

    Now, for the questions:

W1-Y shunted together Should this wire just go to Y on the HWell?
W2-E shunted together Should this wire go to AUX and E shunted togther?
O I'm guessing this goes to O, and I program
The 0190 tstat settings and options for either:
O/B term controls valve in cooling
O/B term controls valve in heating (which one?)

Now for another settings and options:
    0170 System type I assume is 7 2 heat/1 cool w/ aux. heat

There's lots of other settings and options, but I don't think that any of them
Are critical. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Option: Maybe I should consider this tstat a great idea, but just do a bullet-bite
And return it for credit, and go back to "Hey hon, did you lower the heat?"

Thanks much, and again, happy holidays to all.

    Dave.
