My problem is somebody cut all of the gas pipping from under the house.Before we moved in and I was trying to find the cheapest route.I stay in Birmingham,Al. and here our power company delivers free electric water tanks for the switch.I need honest honest answers please.

Gas is cheaper long run, electrics easier to get up and running but cost more to operate.

You say cheaper, but in the short term or the long term? It matters.
