    Frameless shower, big gap,
Help! I need everyone's feedback! We just had a frameless shower installed. It looks nice. There are two issues I have with it. I want to see what you think before I address to contractor.

    1. There is about a 1/2 " gap where the door handle/door meets to close (not the back where the hinges are). (Of course, the contractor says, "This is normal" and "all you do is put a towel down on the floor"), but I'm not happy with this answer.

    2. The door does not swing easily. Actually, it catches and is hard to pull - it seems to catch at the bottom where the seal sweeps at the bottom of the door. I've seen displays and actually, my brother has had one in his bathroom room and it seems that the door would swing easily in and out.

Please advise before I address. Thanks, Pat

In process of installing ours as well. The sweep on bottom of dorr does seem a bit snug but it has even loosened up in the past week or so. I would rather have that than leaks at bottom.. Bottom leaks are said to be more common than the hinged side dependingupon where the shower head is placed.
I am more concerned right now with the gap between the door and the fixed pane wall. Really don't want to put a sweep there for astheitcs reason and wondering how big is too big of a gap?

To soak up the water from a ill fitting shower door?
    UNACCEPTABLE!!
Call your installer back and demand that them installation be done correctly. Good luck and let us know the outcome. N Tom
