I dyed my hair last night. My hair was black from where I dyed it before about 6 months ago. Well I tried to lighten it to a auburn color and only the top of my head turned a red orange color and the rest of my hair is still a dark brown color I would say my hair is screwed up how can I fix this... please help

    Hello Samantha,

Yes, unfortunately your hair has been through a lot.

Can you afford to get it done by a professional?

If not, then there are really only two things you can do to fix it for now.

    1. go back to a darker color, and let it be.

    2. Using a stripper, Eliminate, is a good one. You can get it at a beauty supply store. That will strip the color out.

Just know, that with anything that you decide to do, you will need a reconstructor to repair your hair. I would use K-pak. It's very good and will put moisture back into your hair. Leave it on for twenty minutes at every use.

If it were me, I would either have a professional do my hair, or go the drker route. Less damage.

Don't use bleach. Also, the stripper can also be damaging as well.

    Good luck.
